You Want to Bring Montessori Home—But Where Do You Start?
You've chosen Montessori for your child. Maybe you've read the books, bought the wooden toys, even enrolled them in a Montessori school.
But when it comes to daily life at home—mealtimes, getting dressed, playtime—you wonder: How do I actually do this? What does following my child look like in practice?
What if you could:
✓ See Montessori in action (not just read about it in books)
✓ Learn to observe and respond to your toddler's development
✓ Support independence with confidence
✓ Connect with parents who truly understand
That's exactly what Montessori Mornings offers.

Play is the work of the child”, Maria Montessori’s timeless principle came alive for my 21-month-old son in Alyssa and Janani’s beautifully crafted space. The setup and principles they taught and modeled in our playgroup helped me make big changes to playtime and our daily routine at home. The reflections, resources, and individual advice they offered on early childhood development, toy rotation, weaning, and toilet training led to real adjustments in the way we operate. Janani and Alyssa’s gentle and open facilitation really drew my child's attention and expanded his attachment to other caring adults. They are lovely people to have in your village.
Zienab, mom to a 21 months old

I am incredibly grateful for this playgroup; it has been a wonderful experience for my 18-month-old daughter. I have noticed a significant improvement in her ability to focus on activities for longer periods of time, which is wonderful to see. Alyssa and Janani are both kind, supportive, and genuinely encouraging. Not only did they make us feel welcome, but they also offered invaluable guidance. Every week, they introduced a new topic and provided new insights. Their suggestions on how to support my daughter’s development, respond to certain behaviors, and create a calmer home environment have truly made a difference. I have learned so much from them, and this experience has significantly boosted my confidence as a parent.

Frequently asked questions
My toddler is very active—will they sit still?
Montessori doesn't require sitting still! Your toddler will move freely, choose activities, and work at their own pace. Many parents are amazed at how long their "active" toddlers concentrate when given meaningful, hands-on work. Movement is essential at this age.
Will this work if my child doesn't attend a Montessori school?
Absolutely! In fact, many families don't have access to Montessori schools or choose other options. This program gives you the tools to create a Montessori environment at home, regardless of where your child goes to school. Montessori is a way of parenting, not just a school choice.
What if my child has a tantrum during class?
That's okay. We embrace big feelings. We meet them with empathy and patience. This is what we are trained to do. So, there's no pressure to perform or be anything. It is a space where you child can be themselves.
My child is very shy—will they participate?
Every child is different, and we honor that. Shy children often warm up by the second or third session. There's no pressure to "perform"—Montessori is about following the child's natural pace. Some children observe quietly before diving in, and that's perfectly okay.
Do I need to stay with my child the whole time?
Yes! This is a parent-child program, not a drop-off class. Your presence helps your toddler feel secure while learning, and YOU learn Montessori principles by observing and participating. This is education for both of you.
How is this different from other playgroups?
Most playgroups focus on entertainment and free play. Montessori Mornings focuses on observation, understanding, and building your confidence as a parent. You'll leave with practical skills you can use for years—not just fun memories. Plus, you'll work with authentic Montessori materials, not random toys.
